I am just horrible with the blogging, but I guess one post a month is better than nothing at all. I forgot to come back and post about our family's big big huge announcement SO, here it is... we are expecting baby #3 this summer!!! We are all so excited! Nick and I took the boys along for the first ultrasound and tried explaining to them that the ultrasound machine will let us be able to see the baby even though it is still in mommy's tummy. Well, we ended up leaving with both of the boys in tears because they didn't get to see a "baby" just a "gray thing" and Kingston was under the impression we were going to get to bring the baby home. I'm just glad the boys are so excited for our newest addition.
I can hardly believe that Valentine's day has already come and gone this year! This year was probably the best valentines I've ever had! Nick and I aren't really into doing gifts or going out but we tried to make the day special for the boys. We surprised the boys with pillow pets (that they have been asking for for months) and candy, I made pink semi-heart shaped pancakes with strawberries and fresh whipped cream for breakfast, we had a heart shaped pizza for dinner and finished the day by taking the boys to see "Gnomeo and Juliet". It was a great day!
In other Bullock family news, Stryker has been playing the piano for about six months now. He is playing with both hands and is reading music! He is also playing indoor soccer and is biting at the chomp for the weather to warm up so he can plant his garden. I am so proud of him!
Kingston just started itty bitty ball and loves it! He really loves that his brother comes to watch him do something and cheers for him- he is so used to sitting and watching Stryker play. We've also been going to story time at the library every week and he loves it. He gets so involved with singing the songs and doing the activities! I am very proud of that little man too!
As for Nick, he is headed to Gillette, Wyoming for work. I am not too keen on the idea of Wyoming or the fact that his schedule is going from week on/week off to 2 weeks on/2 weeks off but I am thankful that he is working and working for a good company that for all intensive purposes seems to actually care about its employees! The change is going to be difficult but it will be nice to have him home for 14 days!
Me, I couldn't be more happy with life right now! Since leaving Rise things haven't slowed down much at all! School is going well. This semester has been the most challenging yet and I will be glad when its over!...2 more months!! The boys literally have an activity every day of the week except for Fridays and Sundays so, we stay busy! I've gotten back into cooking from scratch now that I have more time around the house and it feels great! The first trimester with this baby was tough! The fatigue was extreme and the morning sickness was not exclusive to the mornings...not at all! But, I am happy to say that has passed and I feel pretty good!
Well, enough with this post already!
Best,

Happy New Year!
HELLO 2011! I am so excited for this year; there is already so much to look forward to! (stay tuned for a big big big huge announcement :D) I've never been big on new year's resolutions but last year Nick and I put our goals for 2010 down on paper and I'm proud to say that we met and exceeded them all! So, I am now a believer and decided to do the same thing this year. Last year we managed to pay off all of our bills and vehicles--so, now we've only got a mortgage payment to worry about! What a relief!! This year I want to make some major gains with our savings and start paying down our mortgage. This year I am going to finish our basement and the backyard....finally, after 5 years! I decided that this year I wanted to relax and make more time for family activities. Last year was such a whirl wind with juggling real estate, Rise, a full time school schedule, Nick being gone for 2 weeks out of a month, chores, piano lessons, soccer practice...etc. so, this is my last week at Rise. It is really very bittersweet! I've grown so close to everyone down there and they have taught me so much; I really am going to miss it, but I'm excited to have more time to spend with the boys! It hit me like a ton of bricks the other day when I realized Stryker will be starting school this year! And finally, probably like everyone else on earth I would like to better my health---I've been pretty good about hitting the gym regularly but I have such a sweet tooth and I love making comfort foods for my family! So, my goal is to cut down on the fats and sugars I cook with and swap the unhealthy snacks for fruits and veggies....I would love to lose a few pounds but if I get my family to eat a little healthier I'll be happy!!
Wishing everyone the best in the new year!!!

it makes perfect sense!
the logic of a two year old is truly a fascinating thing! I can't tell you how many times a day I hear my little Kingston tell me "mom, my belly's hurting me". When I ask him "how come?", "if he needs a snuggle?" and "if he's sick?" 9 times out of 10 he responds with "i'm SOOO thirsty"- so, let me get this straight; you're sooo thirsty that your belly is hurting you?? okay, okay maybe.... i guess i could see that. But that's never the end of it! I also get at least a dozen times a day "mommy, i SO tired, i need a treat" you're so tired that you need a treat?? What does this kid think he's pulling? I might be sucker for those big brown eyes and delicious dimpled cheeks but, I wasn't born yesterday!! He cracks me up! I will admit that I do have days where I forget that despite that innocent smile and sweet little voice I am dealing with a fully functioning cunning and mischevious little boy. This boy of mine has dismantled his bed, colored the cat and eaten my makeup and he always has a "perfectly logical" explanation. Kingston has been potty trained for quite some time now but lately he has been trying to flush excessive amounts of toilet paper down the toilet so, i have had to essentially hide the t.p. I mean, I guess as far as logic is concerned more t.p.=more clean but we have gone through an entire 12 pack of t.p. in about a week and a half (which typically lasts us a month). Well, today Kingston found the paper towels and tried to flush an entire brand new roll. The toilet couldn't handle the load and I ended up digging the paper towels out of the toilet with my bare hands....!!FUN!!... I would be pleased if this was the end of it but of course not! Kingston then found the stash of toilet paper and as far as I can tell he attempted to flush a roll and 3/4 down the toilet and we are now dealing with the clog of all clogs, and of course its the weekend and no plumber in town is willing to come rotto-root the old crapper....hahahaha.... so, here we sit on this snowy blistery Sunday night without a toilet, with our back teeth a floating and with the logical antics of our two year old.

we've been busy
The past few weeks have been, as usual, just insane! Summer semester ended for me and we decided to take a little family vacation. We went to California and what an adventure! It was supposed to be a 13 hour drive from Vernal, but with both the boys potty trained and frequent (like every 30 minutes frequent) stops for potty breaks it took us a forever to get there! We got a new car and paid it off! WHOOT WHOOT!! Nick and I have been budgeting like crazy men to get everything paid off-- we only have the house left to pay off! And if we stick to our budget it will be paid off early too! Stryker started soccer. He is growing up so fast. I love watching him play with the other kids and he's so funny the way hangs on his coach's every word. Cute! Cute! Cute! I decided not to put him in preschool this year. We work really hard at home with teaching him the normal preschool stuff. He knows addition and subtraction and is well on his way to reading on his own. I think the only thing he might be missing out on is the interaction with other kids but he does have soccer, story time and activity days every tuesday and wednesday with other kids--so maybe he isn't missing out. A few weeks ago he told me he wanted to grow his hair out to look like Justin Bieber's because "the ladies like it"....he thinks Justin Bieber is ULTIMATE and has it in his head that the Biebs plays piano- so, now Stryker wants to play piano, which I think is awesome!! He starts lessons next week. As for sweet baby Kingston, he's just growing up so fast too! He wants to do everything his big brother does. He has such a devious streak in him lately- he thinks its funny when people get hurt and really seems to enjoy breaking things, climbing on things, jumping off of things--he's scary! Fall semester started Monday and I love my classes! Oh and Nick just got a promotion....he's going drilling! I'm so proud of him! Alright, well, enough with my novella....I guess I'll go do some laundry

Because its the middle of the night and I have no life....
We're baaAaack
WOW! So, its been roughly a year and half since my last post and soooo much has happened. First of all, we are back in Vernal. I have such a love/hate relationship with this town. When I'm not here I love it and when I am I can NOT stand it! So, for the moment I am biding my time. For those that don't know last year was easily the most trying year of my life yet!-- Filled with lots and lots of B.S.! Nick was going through lots of legal B.S., his rig went down (b.s.), he went to work for my uncle and was laid off (major b.s.), he was out of work for 8 months (b.s.) we moved to slc (which was ok), I went to work for a complete and total lunatic at a talent agency who wanted me to move to Denver and accept a pay decrease (b.s.) which I declined and subsequently led to us moving back to Vernal (kind of b.s.). As soon as we moved back around the end of the year 2009 things started turning around for us. I got a job with Rise. They support people with disabilities and I LOVE it there! Nick got a job offer; out on the rigs again, but definately better than nothing! So, we are back on a 7 on 7 off schedule with him. Before I left the agency last year I decided to go back to school to finish up my degree so I wouldn't have to deal with crazy bosses out of necessity ever again. I forgot how much I enjoyed school- so far so good! I am still selling real estate (which is incredibly slow for me right now) and like I mentioned before working for Rise. So, school, two jobs, husband part time and then the boys! Life is CRAZY! The boys are growing up so fast! Stryker will be five in a few months and Kingston is almost three! Last year may have trying but it showed me just how much I can endure--and really helped me figure my stuff out and set me in the direction leading to where I want to be in the future! I feel good about life right now! Nick and I are doing better as a couple than we ever have. We have a lot of the same goals and aspirations regarding so many different things. We are working like a well oiled machine which is something that really hasn't happened ever. We figured out what WE is supposed to be and life is good--crazy but good!!

well, its been over a month since my last post and soooo much has happened i haven't really had much time to just sit and update my blog so, first and foremost my handsome little man celebrated his third birthday on Christmas Day
What can I say about this kid?? He is my miracle baby and I thank God every day for giving me three awesome years with this little guy. When my five pound preemie turned into such a little man I'm not sure. He taught me what it means to actually love something more than myself. I have never met such an empathetic child- the way he picks up on how others are feeling is astounding. He is such an amazing big brother. I really didn't know how he would deal with the baby crying at all hours of the night and having to share not only his toys but his parents--- and it totally came naturally to him. He is always trying to make sure brother is smiling. I love watching him grow and experience new things. I never understood the saying "zest for life" but in watching him I now know! It makes me laugh that at 3 he knows the difference between a dodge, a ford and a Chevy at a moments glance and how a track hoe, a back hoe and a dozer all mean something different to him. Maybe that is just a guy thing. I hate that he already has little girls following him around....but i get it....those dimples are hard to resist!! "I uff you Stryker" happy birthday sweet boy!
what else??? Nick switched jobs and was working in Big Piney, Wyoming but after only a week and a half that rig got stacked out so they offered him a position on a rig in North Dakota....that's right NORTH DAKOTA and he took it...so that's what we're doing for now....it sucks and I hate it!!!!
My jeep broke down again....don't worry...same problem!! this will be the fourth time it has gone into the shop in the past two months for the same thing....so, that is why I'm driving yet another crappy rental car. Although i must admit it is a step up from the last three....maybe me totaling the last one showed them....which brings me to that story....
about two and a half weeks ago, the last time the jeep was in the shop, I was heading up to Rock Springs to help Nick out with a few things and I slid off the road and took out a few trees. The car was still drivable and was only missing the front bumper so i didn't think it would be that big of a deal.....apparently i totaled it....yeah that is the second totaled vehicle in six weeks.
Christmas was good and it was nice to spend time with both sides of our families, plus like I mentioned before it was also Stryker's birthday so Christmas is always extra special. Nick worked New Years Eve and I was asleep by like 8:30 so it was uneventful to say the least... as for new years resolutions I still haven't gotten around to it.
Doesn't sound like much- I know- but all of that paired with a slacker like me and you get one post in a month and a half......
